Alright right off teh start here I need to set a few things straight. Those of you who read Amanda's blog are now thinking what a terrible person I am. You shoul dknow that even as Amanda is typing the story of the mouse she says to me..."This is how I tell it". So you know that a story can only be complete if both sides are told. So here goes the true version of the story. It is true that as Amanda and me and half of our staff were travelling back from camp today a mouse crawled onto her shoulder. At which point she quickly reacted and threw the mouse onto a fellow staff person who was sitting behind her. Scared out of its mind the mouse went straight to the back of the van and disappeared amongst the luggage. This all happened on a very narrow dirt road with blind corners in a minivan with six people in it pulling a trailer essentially fully loaded. Amanada was sitting in the very front passenger seat. So Peter knowing the seriousness of having Amanda sitting in the front of a van that had a mouse in the back of the van and four other people in between drove as fast as was safely possible to the nearest point where the van could be pulled over. Then Peter had the entire staff unload all the luggage out of the van and search all the nooks and crannies of teh vehicle including looking in any open bags for this mouse. If you refer to Amanda's story the mouse was nowhere to be found. So after the staff repacked the vehicle and we arrived back to our main site. I again looked through the van after the luggage was unpacked and still no mouse. To make sure I was doing everything possible to keep my dear Amanda safe from teh dreadful mouse when we arrived at Jackson's Point (where we are staying and where we are now) I went through teh contents of every piece of luggage to ensure that the mouse was not in the bags anywhere. Still no mouse. I am sure the mouse has left or turned invisible!! So for all of you who read Amanda's blog and thought what a terrible person Peter is...you now know the rest of the story. Onto another topic. I have been trying all summer to catch a fish while we are out here. this past week I had a fish grab the hook and break the line and I watched it swim away with my bait. So rehooked my line and tried again. this time I hooked a fish adn reeled him in and was about to grab him and he shook the hook winked at me and laughed as he swam away. Don't any of you worry. I will catch Old Morely before the summer is over!!! MWahahaa. Alright that is the update for now!! Have a great week and stay tuned for next weeks adventures!!!
